Where have you been if you have never caught a walleye during freshwater fishing. There is no doubt in my mind that every single person to ever enjoy freshwater fishing should get the chance to catch a walleye. In fact I believe it is total nonsense if you don't get that chance.
It is hard to imagine not ever catching a walleye if freshwater is where you fish. So many people say the thrill is in the catch this is absolutely true when you talk about catching walleye. It's all about feeling that familiar strike and if you have never felt it then you have no clue what walleye fish is about.
Everyone has their opinion and everyone is entitled to their opinion. However if you have never caught a walleye then I think you should put the effort in before commenting on something you have no clue about.
You never hear walleye listed as one of the top eating fish. In my opinion though it should be right up there with lobster and crab. Simply put walleye should be in the top three when it comes to best eating fish in the world. Many would think I'm crazy for saying this but those are the people that have never tasted walleye. I know without a doubt those people would change their minds only a few short seconds after the luscious taste of walleye hit their taste buds.
I wish I could say catching walleye is always easy. Unfortunately that's not something I can say. Let's face it though, do you want to just be able to drop your lucky hook and catch a fish or do you want to experience challenge?
If you think walleye don't change their minds then you have a lot of learning to do. You will quickly learn that a walleye can change its mind several times a day. What this means to the fisherman is they better have a wide assortment of tackle to be able to keep up to the ever-changing mind of the walleye.
Whether we are talking about fishing or car racing we all know the old saying practice makes perfect. The more we study the Almighty walleye the more we will learn. The more we learn gives us a much better chance of putting more fish in the fry pan.
Remember fishing is all about what you are doing. Never forget why you are there, it's all about the fishing and nothing else. Of course catching fish makes that experience more enjoyable but always remember a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.
